Its a boy!!!!!!

Hi, everybody. It has been quite awhile since we last spoke. Sorry for the delay but as you can imagine things have been pretty crazy around the Uresti household. We have been rolling along on the baby front. As you can see from the picture above it is looking more and more like a little person. I think it already has Amanda's little nose. That big bump coming out of the forehead is it's tiny hand. Apparently, our baby is deep in thought. The important thing is that the doctors and nurses tell us that the baby is growing as expected. At this point the baby is about 6 inches long, that seems tiny but again, that is where it should be. I remain optimistic for several growth spurts. The taller it is the more likely it is to receive an athletic scholarship.

Which brings us to the next nugget. The biggest event thus far happened a couple weeks back. We went in for the sonogram that would finally let us know whether we were having a little boy or a little girl. I'm sure most of ya'll know by now, we are having a boy. In the days leading up to the sonogram, however, we had pretty much agreed that it was going to be a girl. Suffice to say, we were pretty surprised. I cannot express how thick the anticipation was in that little room as the nurse moved her wand over Amanda's belly.

The news that we are having a boy threw us for a loop. Like I mentioned, we thought we were having a girl. We even had a name picked out. It's back to the drawing board in that department. We are currently accepting suggestions. All serious offers will be considered.
